Black-throated Green Warbler- Female

Black-throated Green Warbler- Female

This could be an immature BTG, but I'm going with adult female based on the sparse areas of black on the throat and rich yellow of the head. Whichever he/she is, this is a beautiful bird.

I captured that brief moment when she popped into this window of opportunity for me to photograph her on a mulberry branch fresh with new leaves. If you know anything about warblers you know they don't stay put, darting in every direction looking for their insect meals. She looks healthy and energetic, ready to continue her migration northward.
