Watching this Northern Water Thrush I could tell that she was familiar with working the shoreline in search of food. Her movements were sure and quick. She had little difficulty finding food among the rocks.
Here she has snatched up a newly emerged Mayfly. You can see the remnants of the shed exoskeleton directly below the Mayfly.
