Yellow Warbler Female_JF04409

This was a very busy Yellow Warbler, making numerous trips to collect nesting material. I watched her pull spider webs from the boardwalk rails and bits of fluff that looked perhaps like threads of clothing or feathers then bring them back to this nest. She worked with amazing speed like a needle on a sewing machine, fitting each part around the outside of the cup and building up its sides.

In only 2 or 3 days she had completed her nest.
