BunchBerry_JF05314

Closely related to the Flowering Dogwood (Cornus florida), the state tree of Virginia, the Bunchberry (Cornus canadensis) grows no more than 6" tall and is considered a "sub-shrub". Native to mostly the more northerly reaches of North America, Bunchberry does occur in a few of the more mountainous regions of Virginia.
