In addition to feeding hungry chicks, this female is also undergoing a "complete post-nuptial molt" in which she changes out her breeding plumage for her winter attire, which she will use as she migrates south in just a few weeks.

Both of these activities occurring at the same time mean she needs frequent, consistent, high energy meals to fuel her chicks, herself and the growth of an entirely new set of feathers. Habitat with abundant Insects is her only hope. And thankfully, she has found just that.
