Like all the warblers I encountered on this trip, this male Yellow-Rumped Warbler (Dendroica coronata) is experiencing a summer molt. You can see the differences in the length of his secondary wing feathers as new ones grow in. And his tail feathers are a variety of lengths too, indicating they are also being replaced.
