In flight, even at a distance, one can easily distinguish the Black Vulture from the Turkey Vulture. The Black Vulture has whitish primary feathers (the outer ends of its wings) and black along the trailing edge of its wings (secondary feathers). Whereas the Turkey Vulture has black primary feathers and light gray running along the trailing edge of their wings.
