Garter Snakes (Thamnophis sirtalis) can exhibit quite a bit of color variations and even patterns. This one has rather dull yellows stripes between grayish brown base color. Garter snakes are harmless to humans. They feed on things like worms, frogs, salamanders and tadpoles.
