Photographed on his wintering grounds in Arizona, the American Wigeon is a beautiful duck. I particularly like their bills. They remind me of spats, the shoe covering, not the argument. I wore spats as part of my high school marching band uniform. The wigeon looks much better in his than I did in mine.
