We usually think of leaves has being most colorful in autumn. But many trees are infused with an array of fascinating colors in spring. You simply have to take the time to look more closely as the leaves emerge from their buds.
The colors in this Sassafras leaf (Sassafras albidum) are similar to what you would see in fall, but the spring colors have a more pastel essence. And they are fresh and clean with new life.
